Matt Bassford, whose hymns such as "Exalted" are among some of the most beloved spiritual songs in Churches of Christ, and whose Psalter entitled "Worshiping with the Psalms" is the only Hymnal which sets each and every one of the 150 Biblical Psalms to music for worship (Click Here) was still preaching for the Jackson Heights church when he was diagnosed with the terminal disease called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also knows as ALS and "Lou Gehrig's Disease"). He continued preaching as the disease advanced, even when he could only come before us in a wheelchair, up until he moved to Texas in September of 2022. This sermon from March 6, 2022 helps us appreciate and accept ALL of God's answers to prayer, including "NO".
